Asset acquisition/replacement
The department provides capital grants to funded non-government service providers through the Asset Acquisition/Replacement initiative. This initiative has previously targeted information, workplace health and safety requirements and communication technology infrastructure needs.
In 2007-08 the Asset Acquisition / Modification Initiative increased the infrastructure capacity of non-government service providers currently funded by the department, to provide developmental Day Services to additional adults with a disability.
Approvals totalled $6,427,428 in one-off funding to non-government service providers in the following locations:
- Brisbane – Autism Queensland
- Brisbane – Stepping Stone Clubhouse
- Brisbane – Lifeline Community Care
- Brisbane – FIRST
- Gold Coast – Cerebral Palsy League of Queensland
- Sunshine Coast – Homelife Association
- Moreton – Community Access and Transition Service
- Moreton – Youth & Family Service (Logan City)
- Darling Downs/SWQ – Cerebral Palsy League of Queensland
- Darling Downs/SWQ – Endeavour Foundation
- Wide Bay – Town & Country Community Options
- Fitzroy/CWQ – Home Support Association
- Mackay-Whitsunday – Whitsunday Flexible Respite Care
- North Queensland – Endeavour Foundation
- North Queensland – Mount Isa Skills Association
- Far North Queensland – ARC Disability Services
