Training fund

The Disability Sector Training Fund was established following approval in May 1999 for the development of a training fund to meet a range of training and skills development needs for the non-government sector.

The Fund is supported by the Health and Community Services Workforce Council and is operated through a community engagement model supporting ten regional coalitions throughout Queensland. Members of the regional coalitions use a training needs analysis approach to determine training and skills development needs at the local level.
