Cluster Housing
Purpose
Accommodation and Lifestyle Support - Cluster Housing is a State Budget initiative in response to the high demand for suitable accommodation support for people who have an intellectual or cognitive disability and high and complex physical and/or healthcare support needs.
The Accommodation and Lifestyle Support – Cluster Housing initiative provides an accommodation support option that emphasises quality personal care, health care and community participation for people with a disability.
Under this initiative DSQ will provide houses with specialised features to suit the needs of the target group. Each house will:
- have four bedrooms, three bathrooms, two multipurpose rooms, a lounge room and outdoor living space; and
- be robust and have large internal dimensions.
Disability support services will be provided by selected non-government service providers.
