Carer Recognition Policy

In 2003 the Queensland Government Carer Recognition Policy was released as a crucial first step in the Government's commitment and acknowledgment of the valuable role of Queensland carers.

Disability Services Queensland was selected to lead the work across all departments to ensure a co-ordinated approach was taken in developing the policy.

The policy establishes a framework for Queensland Government departments and agencies to identify and recognise the important role of carers for those that they care for and for the community.

The policy was updated in 2007 to reflect current government information and contact details.
