Analysis of submissions
The data for this report has been derived from Consultation Feedback Booklet and from the group sessions conducted at the consultation meetings. The data was coded and analysed from these sources. All of the suggested wording changes were considered in the development of The Queensland Government Carer Recognition Policy.
The data from the meetings is presented under the relevant section being discussed. Although there were 12 consultation meetings held, most of the meetings were broken into smaller discussion groups, making a total of 30 discussion groups. Where relevant, the number of times an issue was raised by a discussion group is indicated in brackets after the issue.
It is important to note that the number of times an issue was raised by a discussion group does not give an indication of the number of people who supported the issue raised - it may have been one person or ten people. For this reason, summary meeting data only is being presented.
There was a great similarity between the issues raised at the meetings and the individual and organisational written submissions received. For this reason, data from the meetings is not presented for each section, but is provided if additional issues are raised or if the number of times an issue was raised by a discussion group varies from the written responses.
