About the Application for Support
The new single Application for Support marks the first significant milestone for Growing Stronger.
Growing Stronger is a four-year program of reform that will result in:
- easier access to Disability Services Queensland funded services via a single application form
- tailored service responses for individuals
- better information systems to ensure fair and sustainable service delivery
- a professional assessment process for all applicants.
With the introduction of the single Application for Support, Disability Services Queensland will be able to better understand people’s individual circumstances, and determine a person’s eligibility for support as quickly as possible.
The new streamlined process means Queenslanders with a disability no longer have to work out which programs to apply for, and do not have to fill out numerous application forms.
Currently, the form will be used for Disability Services Queensland services and individualised funding programs. Over time, this simplified process will also apply to funded services delivered by non-government service providers.
