Jeremy Murphy

My name is Jeremy Murphy but my teachers call me Jeremiah the bullfrog!
I have a speech and language impairment so people find it hard to understand me. I also have cerebral palsy tendencies, which means my muscles get tired and I have trouble writing. I don't let my disabilities get me down and I love to have a go at anything.

I am in Year 9 at Sandgate District State High School and I split my time between high school classes and a special program just for me. My favourite subject is boating because we get to go out into the bay and catch fish but I also like the boys group where I get to wrestle and learn martial arts.

My teachers say I have a happy, outgoing personality and that I am always enthusiastic. I really like coming to school because I am doing things that are fun and nobody seems to worry about how I speak or write. They just include me because I’m Jeremy.
