Project team
A project team within Disability Services Queensland is responsible for developing and implementing the Disability Sector Quality System.
The quality system project team was established in 2004 and has adopted a developmental approach to implementing the quality system. Its role is to:
- build capacity and increase capability within the sector
- maintain key strategic partnerships with peak bodies to support the sector through this change process.
The team not only explores and implements ways to support service providers during the implementation of their quality system, but also works towards supporting people with a disability, their families and carers to actively participate in the system. To achieve this, the team often partners with service provider peak bodies and service user networks to develop and implement effective strategies to support the sector during the implementation period.
The project team consists of the following positions:
- director
- team leader
- 3 x principal project officers
- senior project officer (communications)
- project support officer
