Information about collecting and providing data including access to data collection materials and contact information is available from the data collection page.

Privacy

To comply with privacy legislation and privacy and data principles, it is the responsibility of each CSTDA funded agency to inform it’s service users that non identifying data about them will be provided to DSQ and from there to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) to become part of a national disability services data set.

It is important that service users are made aware not only that data will be provided to DSQ and the AIHW, but that this data will be used only for statistical purposes and will not be used to affect individual entitlements.

For further information and a sample privacy statement for use on standard service user forms, refer to the CSTDA NMDS Data Guide: Data Items and Definitions 2008-09 and CSTDA NMDS Privacy and Data Principles available from the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) website.
