About the Building Supportive Communities Grants
The Building Supportive Communities Grants (formerly known as the Building Inclusive Communities Grants) has been supporting local initiatives since 2002–03.
The Grants are designed to support community members and organisations to use their creativity to carry out a project that includes and welcomes people with a disability.
During 2008-09 Building Supportive Communities Grants up to $5,000 will be available to create small-scale community projects that:
- support people with a disability to be involved in their community
- enable all people to make a visible and valued contribution to their local community
- allow individuals and organisations who don’t know each other to get together.
Applications are open until 30 April 2009
