DSQ policies and practices are informed by, and reflective of, the needs of people with a disability, their families and carers.
Strategy 3
To work in partnership with the disability sector and state government departments to ensure that government initiatives are inclusive of people with a disability.
Actions
3.1 Promote and encourage an understanding and awareness of the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 by DSQ funded services.

3.2 Promote and take a leading role in relation to the Queensland Government Strategic Framework for Disability 2002-05 and its review by the CEO Sub-committee on Disability.

3.3 Participate in a range of cross-portfolio and cross-jurisdictional mechanisms to improve coordination and access to government programs and services and how they are delivered to people with a disability.
