Outline of the Graduate Program

The program is for recent graduates (preferably those about to graduate in the current year) in the preferred disciplines. Graduates of all ages are encouraged to apply.

Salary package from $50 544 (including superannuation and annual leave loading)

Role and responsibility

The Program provides for two six-month rotations over 12 months, or one 12-month placement (depending on area and discipline).

If rotating, the first placement is with the host area. The second placement is undertaken in a different area. Upon completion of the second placement, graduates will return to the host area, unless of course, you have secured an appointment in another area of the Department.

People and Workforce Capability is responsible for approving projects to be allocated to graduates and matching of projects to each graduate (based on individual abilities, preferences and need to provide breadth of experience).

The Program is tailored to developing core capabilities across a range of departmental functions. Key training programs include:

Capability development will be monitored through our achievement planning system which will be co-ordinated by the manager in each work placement.
