Annual Report 2007-08
This was a year of continued successes for Disability Services Queensland thanks to growing investments from the government. In 2007-08, our department and the non-government service providers we fund supported approximately 20,900 people with more than 44,000 instances of service in Queensland.
Other successes included improvements to our services and the services we fund through certification against quality systems and service standards. We also introduced amendments to the Disability Services Act 2006 to improve services for adults with an intellectual or cognitive disability.
As a department, we also implemented, or continued to implement, a number of strategies to develop the skills of our people and manage our resources more efficiently.
